Interlaken

This unique round-trip by modern cogwheel railway takes you first to Kleine Scheidegg, altitude 2061 metres, at the foot of the notorious Eiger North Wall. From here the Jungfrau Railway climbs to the station at Eigergletscher, well-known for its mountain restaurant and polar dog kennels. The trip continues through the Eiger tunnel to the stations at Eigerwand and Eismeer, with a five minute halt at each. From Interlaken Ost to the neighbooring village of Wilderswil. Then by cogwheel railway up to the Schynige Platte, with its unique Alpine Garden and views of the towering trio of the Jungfrau, Monach

Start your excursion to Schilthorn – Piz Gloria the “James Bond mountain”. First you take the train from Interlaken Ost to Lauterbrunnen and then a short bus trip takes you to Stechelberg from where you take the aerial cable car (via Mürren and Birg) to the top of Schilthorn – Piz Gloria at 2970 m. Enjoy the beautiful view of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau (UNESCO World Heritage) and on more than 200 other summits, innumerable glaciers and lakes from the big terrace. Or experience a breathtaking 360° panorama from the revolving restaurant Piz Gloria. While enjoying a drink or a delicious meal your view extends from the Titlis, along Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau to Mont Blanc and to the Black Forest.

Lucerne

From Lucerne you board the boat to Alpnachstad and from there the steepest cogwheel train in the world takes you up to Mount Pilatus at 2132m. On the way back you take the cable car/gondola down to Kriens and further by bus back to Lucerne.

Take the public train to Arth-Goldau. From the station of Mt. Rigi-Railways you go further on with the cogwheel train up to Rigi Kulm (1800m). From the summit you can have a breath-taking 360 degrees panoramic view of the Alps, looking out over 13 lakes and across all central Switzerland as far as Germany and France. The mountain boasts more than 100 kilometres of hiking paths and footpaths. In the late afternoon you descend from Mt. Rigi by cogwheel train to Rigi Kaltbad and further by aerial cable-car to Weggis (or continue by cogwheel train to Vitznau) from where you board the boat and enjoy a cruise back to Lucerne.

From Lucerne the train takes you to the mountain monestry village Engelberg where you board a gondola which takes you up to the Trübsee. You continue your trip by another gondola to Stand and finally the first revolving Titlis Rotair cablecar takes you up to Mount Titlis. For a spectacular, close-up insight into a glacier, visit the glacier cave and ride the Ice Flyer chairlift.

Montreux

Ride in first-class comfort in a “Belle Epoque” Pullman car, vintage 1915 and/or the modern panorama car affording stunning views of the vineyards surrounding Montreux and medieval Gruyères. Depart Montreux on the Swiss Riviera, ascend to Gruyères, home of the Gruyère cheese, and eventually continue to Broc, where the chocolate factory is located.

From here, you can see the Matterhorn from its most beautiful side. There's plenty to see here: the mountains stretch before you, from the Dufourspitze to the Weisshorn, and, right in the middle, the Matterhorn. You can also find themed paths about marmots (woodchucks), alpine flora and the mountain world of Zermatt. While on the way to the Rothorn in the winter, you can also stop off at the Sunnegga.
