Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival Lucerne
Arrival in Lucerne by train 1st class from Swiss border or any Swiss Airport. Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 2 Lucerne
Day at leisure. We recommend an optional excursion to any of the following mountain tops:

  • Mount Titlis
    – Titlis Rotair, Ice Flyer Chairlift, Glacier Park & Cave
  • Mount Pilatus – The golden round trip
  • Mount Rigi – Queen of the Mountains

Overnight in Lucerne. (B)

Day 3 Lucerne - Interlaken
Rail journey over the Brünig Pass to Interlaken situated between the Lakes of Thun & Brienz and at the foot the famous trio of peaks, the Eiger, the Mönch & the Jungfrau. Overnight in Interlaken. (B)

Day 4 Interlaken - Montreux
Scenic rail journey passing alpine forests, mountain streams & mountain villages. Take the GoldenPass Panoramic BLS train from Interlaken Ost to Zweisimmen & further by GoldenPass Panoramic MOB train to Montreux on the Riviera of Lake Geneva.
Overnight in Montreux. (B)

Day 5 Montreux - Zermatt
Rail journey to Zermatt, the famous car-free alpine resort at the foot of the Matterhorn. Overnight in Zermatt. (B)

Day 6 Zermatt - Gornergrat
From Zermatt, the Gornergrat Bahn, Europe’s highest open-air cogwheel railway, takes you up to the Gornergrat 9.3km away. On the Gornergrat viewing platform you are surrounded by peaks rising above 4000m. Overnight in Zermatt. (B)

Day 7 Zermatt - St. Moritz
Board the Glacier Express & enjoy one of the great rail journeys of the world. A 7½ hour rail journey to St. Moritz.
Overnight in St. Moritz. (B)

Day 8 Depart St. Moritz
Depart St. Moritz for Swiss border or airport or alternatively continue your stay in Switzerland. (B)
