Itinerary:
Day 1 Zurich
Travel by rail from any Swiss border or from Zurich/Geneva airport or
rail station to Zurich. Overnight in Zurich.

Day 2 Zurich - Lucerne
Take the train to Lucerne. On arrival check in to your hotel and in the afternoon enjoy this historic city with its famous wooden bridge, some shopping, a walk by the lake, the old town, the Lion monument at your leisure. Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 3 Lucerne
After breakfast consider a visit to one of Lucerne's impressive mountains. Mt Pilatus, Mt Rigi (the Queen of the mountains) or Mount Titlis. Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 4 Lucerne - St. Moritz
Today your rail journey takes you to one of the most famous holiday resorts in the world, St Moritz. Overnight in St. Moritz.

Day 5 St. Moritz - Zermatt
After breakfast, board the Glacier Express train in First Class and enjoy one of the worlds great train journeys (7½ hours) to Zermatt, travelling via 291 bridges and 91 tunnels, and across the Oberalp Pass ( 2033m). Electric-cars and horse drawn sleighs and carriages are the only transport allowed in the Village. Overnight in Zermatt.

Day 6 Zermatt - Gornergrat Excursion
Ride the nostalgic rack-railway to the Gornergrat with wildlifespotting; a visit to the observatory or a ride on the highest cable-car in Europe to the Klein Matterhorn (Glacier Paradise), a panoramic platform at 3,885 m above sea-level, with a visit to the glacial grotto - great day in the Alps. Overnight in Zermatt.

Day 7 Zermatt - Geneva/Zurich
After breakfast, depending on your choice of destination, take the train to Brig and change trains bound for Geneva or Zurich. Overnight in Geneva or Zurich.

Day 8 Zurich/Geneva to Border or Airport
After breakfast, transfer from Zurich/Geneva by rail to any Swiss border or airport. Alternatively extend your stay in Switzerland.
