Travel by rail from any Swiss border or airport rail station to Lucerne. Overnight in Lucerne. Optional excursion to *Mt Pilatus, if time permits.

After breakfast, travel by rail to Engelberg, where you will board a gondola to Trubsee. Change gondolas and continue on to Stand. At Stand you will board the revolving gondola to Mt Titlis (3020m). The views are fantastic!. Overnight in Lucerne with bed and breakfast.

Today, travel via the Brunig Railway to Brienz, famous for its wood-carvings. In the afternoon, travel by the partly steam-driven Rothorn Railway to Brienzer Rothorn, where you can choose to take a short walk which will reward you with spectacular views of the lake. Return to Brienz. Overnight with bed and breakfast.

Today, travel by postal bus to the Swiss Open-Air Museum in Ballenberg, for an insight into the history of Switzerland. Later in the day return to your hotel to collect your luggage and travel by rail to Interlaken Ost. Overnight in Interlaken with bed and breakfast.

Travel to Lauterbrunnen. Change trains and continue to the Kleine Scheidegg via Wengen. Here you will be confronted with the famous North Wall of the Eiger. Continue on the Jungfrau Railway to the top of the Jungfraujoch (3454m) where views of the Aletsch Glacier, the longest in the Alps, await. Overnight in Interlaken with bed and breakfast.

After breakfast, travel by rail to Zermatt via Spiez and Brig. The scenery on today's journey will enthrall you, so don't forget to get off in Zermatt! Overnight in Zermatt with bed and breakfast.

A day in Zermatt including a trip to the Gornergrat on the Gornergrat Bahn. The spectacular summits of the Matterhorn, Monte Rosa and many others are there to enjoy. Overnight in Zermatt with bed and breakfast.

After breakfast, transfer from Zermatt by rail to any Swiss border or airport. Alternatively, you can choose to extend your Swiss stay.
