Eiger, Jungfrau, Zermatt and Mt. Pilatus

Explore the heart of Switzerland's majestic mountains over five days and four nights. The summit of Mount Pilatus (2132m) can be reached via the steepest cogwheel railway in the world, rewarding you with breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks. Jungfraujoch (3 454m or 11 333ft) boasts Europe's highest railway station.
Itinerary:
Day 1 Interlaken
Travel by rail from Zurich or Geneva airport or any Swiss border to Interlaken. Overnight in Interlaken with bed and breakfast.

Day 2 Jungfraujoch Excursion
This morning a short walk to Interlaken Ost (east) rail station. Travel to Lauterbrunnen, then change for Wengen and Kleine Scheidegg station (you are now at the foot of the Eiger's North Wall). Continue by the Jungfrau Railway to Jungfraujoch and experience the breath-taking view of Aletsch Glacier. Return by rail to Interlaken. Overnight with bed and breakfast.

Day 3 Interlaken - Lucerne
Today, travel in a panoramic car of the Brunig Express from Interlaken to Lucerne. Overnight in Lucerne with bed and breakfast.

Day 4 Lucerne
Take a cruise on Lake Lucerne to Alpnachstad, then board the world's steepest cogwheel railway to the summit of Mt Pilatus, at 2132m, for breath taking views of the surrouding peaks. Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 5 Depart Lucerne
After breakfast, your choice to return by rail to a Swiss border or airport or stay longer in Lucerne.
